Green Chutney recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh coriander leaves, washed and chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, washed
- 2-3 green chilies (adjust according to spice preference)
- 1 medium-sized tomato, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled
- - 1-inch piece of ginger, stripped and cleaved
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon roasted cumin powder (optional)
- 1-2 tablespoons water (adjust for desired consistency)
Instructions:
1. **Prepare Ingredients:** Wash and chop coriander leaves, mint leaves, tomato, green chilies, garlic, and ginger.
2. Blending: In a blender or food processor, combine coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilies, tomato, garlic, and ginger. Blend until you get a smooth paste.
3. Adjust Consistency: If the chutney is too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of water and blend again until you achieve your desired consistency.
4. Seasoning: Add salt, lemon juice, and roasted cumin powder (if using). Blend once more to incorporate the seasoning into the chutney.
5. Taste and Adjust: Taste the chutney and adjust salt and lemon juice according to your preference.
6. Serve: Transfer the green chutney to a serving bowl. It very well may be served right away or put away in an impenetrable compartment in the fridge for sometime in the future.
